2013 Goals: One Month Check In

Right, so it's February 1st.  Who's still chasing their New Year's Resolutions?  Who still remembers what their New Year's Resolutions were?  Because I am slightly OCD, I actually typed mine out and printed it off.  It is now taped to my office wall as a nice little daily reminder of the 23 things I resolved to do or work on.  I promised myself that I'd do a check in every month to see where I was at with my list and since it's February 1st, it's time for an assessment.

Let's take a look at what's been done so far shall we??

#23:  Get back in the pool on a regular basis:  CHECK.  My swim mileage for January totaled a whopping 23,950m.  That's almost 24km of swimming.  I have managed to stick to my 3 days a week plan.

#21: Stay Consistent: I was consistent until last week when my knees told me to get lost. Good news is that I am almost 100% and I didn't really miss too much in terms of mileage.  I'll be testing out the legs on a long run tomorrow.

#17:  Stretch:  CHECK.  I've even made it to a couple of hot yoga classes!  That definitely has to be something I do on a semi regular basis.

#15:  Get on the Computrainer at least once a week:  CHECK.  I was on it 4 times last week.  That has to be record.

#13:  Get my running coach certification:  The wheels have been put in motion.

#11:  Take out the trash in my diet and get back to clean eats:  DONE.  I've actually started to shrink a bit and my abs are coming along nicely.  Amazing how that all works.

#5:  Remember that the foam roller is my friend:  Um yeah, hard not to forget.  I've just engaged in a long term affair with mine.  He gets me into all sorts of compromising positions.

#3:  Keep doing my rehab exercises:  I had been doing everything for my ankle issues now I have to add hip exercises to my routine.

#1:  Maintain an attitude of gratitude even when the going gets tough.  Despite my minor setback last week, I kept reminding myself that things could always be worse.

I think I'm doing fairly well in the goal getting department.  It was great to log on to Instagram yesterday and see all the #goalgetter2013 posts as well!  I caught up on a couple of the ladies blogs yesterday and there's been some excellent progress made!   In case you missed my post last month, here are the list of ladies that are hosting the challenge.

How are you doing with your New Year's Resolutions?  Have you added anything else to your list?

Wow--call me impressed! You are kicking it in 2013! I am not a resolution setter, so I can't really relate, but I can watch vicariously.
